Metastatic Breast Cancer is a tough topic, especially for the women who must deal with it—most of whom are given a 35% chance to survive beyond five years. That’s why public awareness is so important — to encourage more research and to support the women navigating complex treatment protocols. HER2 Foundation is working to accomplish these ends.

Women Warriors & Their Stories
This project began with a powerful collaboration between Jacqueline Rudolph, a Santa Fe-based activist artist, and Dr. Anna Voltura, MD, a fellowship-trained surgical oncologist. Jacqueline’s evocative paintings of iconic women facing breast cancer were first displayed at Dr. Voltura’s clinic to inspire and uplift patients. The art resonated deeply, catching the attention of Ava Stern, entrepreneur and founder of Artemis Enterprises Inc., and later Joyce Bogosian, a healthcare executive. Together, they established the HER2 Foundation to raise awareness, provide trained patient Navigators, and advocate for innovative research into metastatic breast cancer.
The Collection:
Art That Heals
The Women Warriors Series is a collection of impressionist portraits of notable women who have battled breast cancer. Each portrait tells a story through color, expression, and a personal quote from the subject herself. These paintings are intended to be displayed in cancer clinics and wellness centers across the nation to uplift patients and families.
