The HER2 Foundation was established to raise awareness, provide trained patient navigators, and advocate for innovative research into metastatic breast cancer. The Patient Navigation Program ensures that women receive the guidance and resources they need to navigate complex treatment plans with confidence and care.
What is patient navigation?
Patient navigation is a process in which a trained navigator guides a patient from a breast cancer diagnosis through treatment, identifying and removing barriers to care along the way. Navigators also work with patients’ families and caregivers. Navigation can be provided by one person or by a team working together.
